MAKS (air show)

MAKS ((ロシア語:МАКС), (ロシア語:Международный авиационно-космический салон), transliterated as ''Mezhdunarodnyj aviatsionno-kosmicheskij salon'', "International Aviation and Space Show") is an International Air Show held near Moscow, Russia on Zhukovskiy LII air field. The first show, Mosaeroshow-92, was held in 1992. Since 1993, it was renamed to its current name and is held on odd years (MAKS-1993, MAKS-1995, MAKS-1997, MAKS-1999, MAKS-2001, MAKS-2003, MAKS-2005, MAKS-2007, MAKS-2009, MAKS-2011, MAKS-2013).
MAKS is an important event in Russian business. Although it started mainly as an entertainment event, the show soon became a marketplace where Russian airplane manufacturers could find export contracts and Russian air carriers could find foreign contacts. The whole event became important through CIS and neighboring countries, due to similarities of the market.
The most recent (''MAKS-2015'') took place on 25 August - 30 August 2015.
==Russian Knights crash 2009==
